Livestock and Auction Questions

AUCTION

All grade one animals will be sold. Additional animals shall be sold as to bring the total number of animals sold up to 15 steers, 210 hogs, lambs, rabbits and poultry combined. Lamb groups 1, & 2, hogs groups 1 & 2, beef group 1 & 2 may be sold according to the limit.

All beef, group 1 lambs and group 1 hogs will be sold as individuals. At the discretion of the Fair Management, all other sale animals may be sold in lots of 2 or more.

All market entries will be auctioned, except as limits set in previous rules.

The only animals that can be offered for sale are those that qualify for the auction.

All market entries sold will be shipped for processing.

Actual weight of hogs, steers and lambs will be used by the fair management only.

A 6% Commission shall be deducted from the selling price of all animals sold at auction. Proceeds will be deposited in the auction promotional fund and scholarship fund.

All thank-you notes for the Auction and the Awards must be received and approved within 10 days of the auction or participation in next year’s Fair will be prohibited and the exhibitor will only receive payment of the market price.

The Fair Management reserves the right to require health inspections and diagnostic test to be made before or after animal are on the Fairgrounds. Also, the right is reserved by the Fair Management to order and cause preemptory removal from the grounds of any animal which does not in every respect meet health requirements. Under no circumstances will the management be held liable in any way for removal.
