62nd TWILIGHT PARADE

 

2011 THEME

 

“send in the clowns”

Thursday, May 26, 2011    Parade Begins @: 6:00 p.m.

 

Mounted Entries ONLY: Assembly and Prejudging

 

Mounted groups must be in place by 4:30PM for Prejudging – LOCATION: Corner of Harmon  and Mason Street

Awards:

Awards presentation will take place Friday evening following the Cake & Barrel Auction at the Fairgrounds.

FEE: Commercial Entry: $75.00 (Any for-profit business name on entry)

 Non-Commercial Entry: $50.00

Note: No refunds will apply for cancellation of entry.

 

Deadline for submitting entries is April 25th, 2011.

 

LATE FEE: Add $50.00 after April 30th, 2011.

 

No entries will be accepted after May10th, 2011. NO EXCEPTIONS!  

 

General Rule #1: Parade will take place rain or shine!!!!

 

 Parade information and instructions will be mailed one week prior to the parade.

PLEASE PROVIDE A SELF ADDRESSED, STAMPED ENVELOPE with your entry form.

H.F.F.C.F. TWILIGHT PARADE

    GENERAL RULES

  • The parade will take place RAIN or SHINE.

 

  • C.S.H.A. judge will be used for the judging of mounted units.

 

  • No ties will be allowed in judging. Trophies will be awarded in all classes where competition is present. Classes with single entries will be awarded ribbons only.

 

  • All single entries are limited to 65 feet in length.

 

  • Hot Rod entries must either be towed or hauled.

 

  • All units performing along the parade route must be in forward progress at all times. Deduction of points and possible disqualification could result from any delay or stoppage of the parade. A one-minute time period will be allowed for a brief performance in front of the judges’ stand only.

 

  • Entries must be representative of what is indicated on entry form, i.e. marching unit must remain in marching formation.

 

  • Tossing or throwing of candy, toys, water balloons, or any other item will be grounds for immediate disqualification and removal from the parade. People walking along the entry may hand out items. SPECTATORS MUST NOT BE ENTICED INTO THE ROADWAY.

 

  • No street vendors will be allowed at any time during the parade.

 

  • All entries riding skateboards are required to wear helmets throughout the parade route or they will be disqualified and removed from the parade.

 

  • The Future Farmers Fair Parade Committee reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry.

 

  • No Alcoholic beverages are allowed on floats, or any entry, or in staging area.
