2) Paul Witke Scholarship(s)

The Healdsburg Fair Board may elect to award scholarships longer than one year, and in an unlimited number from each category, at its sole discretion.

Applicants must be seniors and reside in the Healdsburg, Windsor, or Geyserville High School Districts and must be a member in good standing of a 4-H or FFA club in the above districts. The scholarship funds in each category will be awarded at the discretion of the scholarship committee.

Eligible students must submit a typed essay (500 words) as to why they feel they should receive this award. You must include your high school transcripts along with your essay. The essays must be postmarked no later than May 2, 2008 for consideration. Any letters postmarked after this date will not be considered. You must specify for what specific scholarship category your are applying in the upper right hand corner of your essay, and a phone number that can be used to contact you.

You must be available on May 16th from approximately 1-4pm for your personal interview by the scholarship committee. Each applicant will be contacted regarding the location of the interviews.

The scholarship awards will be presented on awards night at the HFFC Fair on May 24, 2008. If you are awarded a scholarship, one-half of the scholarship will be paid upon completion of nine (9) weeks attendance in good standing with the remaining balance of your scholarship disbursed upon confirmation of your second semester/quarter. Utilization of the award must be made within one year from the date of presentation.
