Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair
2008 Amateur and Professional Wine Competition
Entries open: Feb.21",2008 at 9:00am
Entries close: March 3, 2008 at 5:00pm
Delivery: All wine for judging must be delivered to the Telegram Tribune office between Feb. 21st and March 3rd during office hours
Eligibility: Open to any winery or amateur wine maker with a mailing address of Healdsburg, Geyserville or Windsor.
Amateur winemakers must not be affiliated with any professional winery and must make their wines at their own residences.
Entrv Fee: Professional: $30.00 per entry, per class. 3 bottles per entry / Amateur: $ 15.00 per entry per class- 2 bottles per entry.( All proceeds benefit the Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair.)
Judging: Judges will eb made up of local winemakers from local wineries. (Anyone wishing to be a judge can email their name and qualifications to mkiff@sonic.net)
Danish System of Judging
Awards offered per class are Gold and Double Gold, Silver and Bronze. (No cash awards) Winners will receive recognition for their wines in the Healdsburg Tribune / Windsor Times and throughout the Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair. Blind Judging will be done by a panel of local winemakers, selected from the community by the
HFFCF Board of Directors. Medals will be awarded to all wines that complemento ur appellation'sr eputationa s the
finest grape growing region in the world. Double Gold indicates a unanimous decision by the judging panel. Best of

All medals and Grand and Reserve Champion awards will be presented Friday, May 23rd, during the cake and barrel auction at the Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair,
Red Classes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and other red varietal.
White Classes: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and any other white varietal.
*There is no price or case volume requirement.*
